95% of the Earth’s Ocean by volume falls outside the responsibility of any country. It is unregulated and under threat. Within these High Seas are some of the most important areas to life on this planet. But up until now, they have been hidden from view.
Our challenge was to develop a campaign which would be used to help persuade the UN to create Marine Protected Areas. We needed to evoke a sense of wonder and excitement that in a battered world there are still places that can be saved and that we have the power to save them.
The campaign film, website and print collateral were shared at the UN IGC4 meeting in NY in March 2022. Progress was made towards a High Seas Treaty with another meeting scheduled for August 2022.
